Jacob Lewis

JACOB LEWIS (Hazelwood, MO) is a recent graduate from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance. In 2010, he was inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and was a finalist for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award. Mr. Lewis has worked with choreographers Dwight Rhoden, Norbert De La Cruz III, Victor Quijada, Katarzyna (Kate) Skarpetowska, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and members from Pilobolus. In 2013 and 2014, he performed in Alvin Ailey’s Memoria during Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s New York City Center season. This is his second season with Ailey II.

Ailey II's First Independent New York Season At The Joyce Theater

Ailey II’s “indefatigable, virtuosic, and relentlessly sexy” dancers (Los Angeles Times) return to The Joyce Theater from March 17 – 22 with two programs of premieres and recent audience favorites. The Company’s spring run at The Joyce will be the first time they will present an independent season at one of dance’s most cherished and historic venues.

Ailey II Performs In Over 30 Cities During 2013-2014 World Tour

Ailey II embarks on a 31-city world tour from September 17th through March 28th with 24 domestic cities including Kansas City, MO; Baton Rouge, LA; Columbia, SC; Memphis, TN; and Birmingham, AL. The international portion of Ailey II's tour takes the dancers to Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Canada.
