Courtney Celeste Spears

COURTNEY CELESTE SPEARS (Baltimore, MD) graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts under the direction of Norma Pera. She is also a recent graduate from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance. Ms. Spears has attended summer programs at Cedar Lake 360, The Juilliard School, and American Ballet Theatre and performed works by Matthew Rushing, Igal Perry, Francesca Harper, Nicholas Villeneuve, Christian von Howard, Hope Boykin, and George Balanchine. She represented Fordham University on the cover of Dance Spirit magazine’s September 2013 “Higher Education” issue and was the 2014 recipient of the Denise Jefferson Memorial Scholarship.  In 2015, Ms. Spears was awarded the Princess Grace Award scholarship. This is her second season with Ailey II.

Courtney Celeste Spears - Audra Danielle Noyes is a young designer, having made her way nearly straight from her studies at Savannah College of Art and Design to Paris, where she cut her teeth at Lanvin and John Galliano. And so her Spring précis was one no doubt informed by her own experiences, which delved deeply into the metamorphosis of a young woman.
